General Description
This position provides technical program management support to the Department of Commerce (DOC), International Trade Administration (ITA). The successful candidate provides oversight of all aspects of field and/or task-level project performance (i.e., technical, contractual, administrative, financial). The candidate may work on multiple projects simultaneously. They supervise personnel involved in all aspects of project activity, organizes and assigns responsibilities to subordinates, oversees the successful completion of all assigned tasks, and maintains customer contacts to ensure conformity to all contractual obligations. They also interface with all areas affected by the project including end users, computer services, and client services. Further, they ensure adherence to quality standards and review project deliverables; manages the integration of tasks; and tracks and reviews deliverables. Lastly, they recommend action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems and exercises independent judgment, as well as a high-level of analytical skill, in solving non-routine technical, administrative, and managerial problems.
Duties and responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading complex technical initiatives by coordinating project planning and execution, facilitating Agile ceremonies, gathering and refining business requirements, and ensuring cross team alignment while managing risks, dependencies, and timelines. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field.
Professional Certifications
None required but PMP preferred.
Clearance Required
Must have completed or be able to complete a Tier 1 National Agency Check and be successfully adjudicated to occupy a Public Trust position.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years’ experience performing in a technical leadership role.
U.S. Citizen or Similar
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Other Characteristics (e.g., Personal or Language)
Excellent oral, written, and communication in English. Must be able to work in a team environment with members that include personnel from other companies, Government program management and administrative personnel, and technical staff members. Must be able to perform with minimal management oversight and have strong time management skills.
Working conditions, including location
Remote.
Client duty hours are Monday through Friday.

$125 to 135k Annually

- Translate technical concepts for diverse audiences
- Create and maintain clear documentation
- Develop training materials to support adoption
- Drive continuous improvement across processes and delivery practices
- Perform functions like a project manager, Scrum master, business analyst, trainer, and technical writer to ensure that programs are well structured, well communicated, and successfully delivered
The successful candidate will have knowledge in the following areas:
- Knowledge and expertise supporting enterprise programs
- Experience with agile development methods
- Experience with cloud data services
- Knowledge and expertise supporting multiple AI/ML initiatives
- Must have a strong understanding of the Scaled Agile Framework
- Knowledge of how to diagnose problems, think critically, organize information, and develop optimal solutions for complex issues.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field.
