General Description

Manages the contract life cycle for all corporate contracts. Performs in a cross-functional role with all areas of the business (Operations, Finance, HR, Business Development) and acts as the contractual point of contact for all contractual matters representing Macalogic and interacting with government clients and commercial partners. Responsible for client and corporate contract activities, including complex contractual arrangements of strategic importance to the company from proposal development to contract close-out.  Performs as the Pricing Lead for the company.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsibilities include negotiating contracts, participating in the proposal process, and managing contracts from contract award through contract close-out.
  • Lead complex negotiations, including Joint Venture Agreements, NDAs, Teaming Agreements, and Subcontracts.
  • Establish and implement corporate contract policies and processes in accordance with corporate objectives and customer expectations.
  • Perform formal contract CDRL deliveries to Government and prime contractor clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Perform as the key liaison and single point of contact for contracts-related communication and correspondence with Government and prime contract clients.
  • Perform necessary small business and contract compliance reporting to specific contract program offices and the SBA.
  • Maintains official contract files, and reporting documentation, and supports internal and external contract file audits.
  • Participate in the development of business alliances, proposal-related contractual review and implementation, and risk management directives.
  • Ability to be flexible to accomplish tasks that may be stressful under strict timelines.
  • Develop pricing strategies, rates/pricing, and contract and pricing volumes for proposals in response to Government RFPs. Create and analyze price-to-win strategies. when necessary.

Specialized Knowledge

The successful candidate will have knowledge and expertise in the following areas:
  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
  • Experience in developing complex and simple pricing proposals. 
  • Experience in developing contracting strategies and executing the contract life cycle on behalf of a government contractor.
  • Experience with interactions with internal and external customers at all levels of the organization.
Education

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Political Science, Public Administration, Finance, or equivalent.

Professional Certifications

Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or Government contracting certifications are a plus.

Clearance

Either currently hold or can acquire a U.S. Security Clearance.

Experience

Five years of business experience in contracting or a related field, with emphasis on government and government-related experience (contracting officer, contracting specialist, etc.). Experience in contracting, joint venture formation, strategic partnering, or other highly complex contractual arrangements is desirable.

Citizenship

Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Skills and Abilities

Strong understanding of federal acquisition requirements.

Other Characteristics (e.g., Personal or Language)

Excellent oral and written communication in English. Must be able to work in a team environment with members that include personnel from other companies, Government program management and administrative personnel, and technical staff members.

Working conditions, including location

Onsite/telework at Macalogic HQ.
Core duty hours are 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM EST, Monday through Friday.
