General Description
This position serves as the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) subject matter expert regarding the Global Command and Control System (GCCS-J). The successful candidate will operate GCCS-J and provide USTRANSCOM with an accurate, near real-time representation of information that supports global mobility laydown and other USTRANSCOM assigned missions. The candidate will work with the Joint Staff and Joint Deployment Training Center on GCCS-J testing new features, troubleshooting, improving performance, documenting software problem reports and capability enhancements.

The successful candidate will have knowledge in the following areas:
Bachelor's degree in transportation, logistics, or related fields of study.
Professional Certifications
None required.
Clearance Required
Existing or ability to obtain a Secret Security clearance.
Experience
Minimum of 10 years’ experience, with at least 5 years providing transportation and logistics support and 2+ years of specific knowledge and experience with GCCS-J and associated tools.
U.S. Citizen or Similar
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Other Characteristics (e.g., Personal or Language)
Excellent oral, written, and communication in English. Must be able to work in a team environment with members that include personnel from other companies, Government program management and administrative personnel, and technical staff members. Must be able to perform with minimal management oversight and have strong time management skills.
Working conditions, including location
On site at Scott AFB, IL, with possible limited remote work possible.
Client duty hours are Monday through Friday.

$120 to $135k Annually

- Operate the GCCS-J and provide USTRANSCOM with an accurate, near real-time representation of information that supports global mobility laydown and other USTRANSCOM assigned missions.
- Recommend opportunities to leverage GCCS-J in common operating pictures, dashboard developments, and analytical opportunities so to improve the Global Operations Center situational awareness of monitoring key movements within the Joint Deployment and Distribution Enterprise.
- Participate in projects, assignments, and meetings.
- Provide GCCS-J familiarization level training within USTRANSCOM.
- Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures, Policies and Tactics, Techniques, Procedures, point papers, talking papers, and briefings.
Specialized Knowledge
The successful candidate will have knowledge in the following areas:
- Knowledge and expertise with GCCS-J.
- Experience with performing “headquarters” staff level work.
- Knowledge of USTRANSCOM and its mission.
- Knowledge of how to diagnose problems, think critically, organize information, and develop optimal solutions for complex issues.
Bachelor's degree in transportation, logistics, or related fields of study.
Professional Certifications
None required.
