General Description
This position provides senior level support to various logistics and maintenance research and development efforts at WPAFB, Ohio. No remote work available. Specific duties involve analysis of organizational data and processes to identify areas for improvement, recommending solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity, and ultimately helping the logistics and maintenance communities in the United States Air Force achieve their operational and mission support goals.

Duties and responsibilities
The successful candidate will perform the following:
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation: gather, analyze, and interpret data to understand business performance, identify trends, and uncover potential issues or opportunities.
  • Business Modeling: using information obtain through requirements determination and process re-engineering to model business processes to determine the impacts of various process changes.
  • Problem Solving: identify problems or inefficiencies within the logistics and/or maintenance organizations and develop solutions to address them.
  • Requirements Gathering: Work with stakeholders using Interviews, workshops, surveys, and observation to understand business needs and elicit, document, and validate business and technical requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze existing processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Create as-is and to-be process maps using tools like BPMN and Visio.
  • Solution Assessment and Validation. Write user stories, manage product backlogs and participate in sprints; Work with technical teams to ensure proposed solutions meet requirements; Participate in design reviews, prototypes, and testing phases; and   Support User Acceptance Testing and help validate solution performance.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders, both verbally and in writing, and collaborate with various teams to implement solutions. Serve as a liaison between business users, project managers, developers, and testers and facilitate workshops, meetings, and communications to align expectations.
  • Support Strategic Planning and Decision-Making. Analyze business trends, data, and KPIs to support strategic initiatives and conduct feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, or impact assessments.
  • Technology Evaluation: Research and evaluate new technologies and systems to determine their potential benefits for the organization.
  • Documentation: Document findings, analysis, and recommendations clearly and concisely. Track project progress, issues, and changes; Create reports or dashboards for stakeholders, especially when supporting data-driven initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Management: Support the management of stakeholder expectations and ensure that solutions meet business needs and requirements.

Specialized Knowledge
The successful candidate will have knowledge and expertise in the following areas:
  • Direct experience with the creation, configuration, and use of modeling tools. Examples of tools to be used include CAMEO and ARIS modeling software; however, any modeling tool experience is needed.
  • Have proven ability to create visual representations of current and future business processes using standards like BPMN; Capture workflows, decisions, roles, and system interactions clearly and accurately; Support business process reengineering or improvement initiatives
  • Experience in value stream mapping and digitizing manual work processes.
  • Proven ability to support Digital Transformation by translating business needs into formal models that feed into systems engineering or digital twin environments and align modeling work with enterprise architecture, system requirements, and IT capabilities
 
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business or related fields of study.



Professional Certifications
None.

Clearance                                                               
The ability to obtain and maintain the necessary clearances (specifically, a background investigation at the Tier 1 low-risk level (formerly NACI) with a favorable adjudication).

Experience
4-6+ years’ experience working in business analysis and process modeling.

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Must be able to work in a team environment with personnel from other companies, government program management and administrative personnel, and technical staff members. Must be able to perform with minimal management oversight and have strong time management skills.

Client duty hours are Monday through Friday.

135 - 150k Annually
