General Description
This position provides senior JOPES functional and program management support to the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM). The successful candidate will independently operate and assist USTRANSCOM personnel in using various of applications which support the USTRANSCOM mission; provide JOPES system support; support/perform JOPES system functional testing; support JOPES error processing; assist with JOPES training; and perform as a liaison to JOPES user communities.

Bachelor's degree in transportation, logistics, or related fields of study.
Professional Certifications
None required; however, PM/PMP are preferred.
Clearance Required
Existing or ability to obtain a Secret Security clearance.
Experience
Minimum of 10 years’ experience, with at least 5 years providing transportation and logistics support, and 2+ years of specific knowledge and experience with JOPES and associated tools.
U.S. Citizen or Similar
Must be a U.S. Citizen

Excellent oral, written, and communication in English. Must be able to work in a team environment with members that include personnel from other companies, Government program management and administrative personnel, and technical staff members. Must be able to perform with minimal management oversight and have strong time management skills.
Working conditions, including location
On site at Scott AFB, IL, with possible limited remote work possible.
Client duty hours are Monday through Friday.

$120 to 135k Annually

The successful candidate will perform the following:
- Operate and assist USTRANSCOM personnel, to include the transportation component commands and subordinate organizations, in using each of the following applications/systems: Webmin, File Transfer, Global Decision Support System, Scheduling and Movement Interface (SMINT), Global Video Services (GVS) and/or TEAMS, JOPES Editing Tool, Internet Browsers, Rapid Query Tool, Time-Phased Force and Deployment Data (TPFDD) Management Tool, Web Scheduling and Movement, Structured Query Language, Sun Secure Global Desktop, JOPES Synchronization Process, JOPES Subscriptions, JOPES Data Network Services, UNIX operating system, Shell Scripting, Extensible Markup Language, Gnome Terminal, Windows operating system, Windows-based applications, Newsgroup applications, and functional database manager user and error processing applications.
- Participate in activities involved in the efforts to improve JOPES system performance (attending JOPES meetings, conferences, and working groups and attending video teleconference meetings).
- Perform daily status checks of JOPES systems to include SMINT, Newsgroups/Mail, JSSC JOPES Monitoring Tool, and Functional Manager tools used to ensure OPLAN synchronization and OPLAN error resolution.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, analyze, and report JOPES system degradation.
- Perform JOPES system functional testing of new applications and application upgrades.
- Provide on-going error resolution by identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving transaction failures and conflicts between the JOPES server enclaves.
- Serve as a member of USTRANSCOM team supporting the JOPES Action Group (JAG) and coordinate JOPES related issues with the JSSC.
The successful candidate will have knowledge in the following areas:
- Knowledge and expertise with JOPES and JOPES modules.
- Experience with performing “headquarters” staff level work.
- Knowledge of USTRANSCOM and its mission.
- Working knowledge of the Deployment and Distribution Operations Center (DDOC), USTRANSCOM Operations Integration Division (TCJ3-I), and the Joint Staff Support Center (JSSC).
- Knowledge and experience formulating and enforcing work standards, assigning work schedules, and communicating organizational policies, purposes, and goals to team members.
- Knowledge of how to diagnose problems, think critically, organize information, and develop optimal solutions for complex issues.
Bachelor's degree in transportation, logistics, or related fields of study.
